No matter how long you have been with your significant other, you should always have a date night, or two! Once a month my Fiance and I will have a dedicated 'date night'. Some months we probably have multiple date nights but we always have at least one a month. Try scheduling it in ahead of time for a few months. I've heard of couples with kids doing planned date nights to keep things scheduled with their kids sitters. But scheduling something doesn't have to be just for couples with kids! We have found it so much easier to keep things consistent by scheduling them out. I have time to plan my outfit (more like buy an outfit LOL), curl my hair, and do my makeup a little extra. My Fiance also picks an outfit, grooms his beard (for grooming try a hair and beard comb by CrownCode) and puts on a little bit of cologne. We both take date night serious. Always keeping it exciting so we don't fall into those slumps our friends talk about. And date nights don't have to be expensive steak dinners, just a night where its about only the two of you. A couple glasses of while and some small bites is usually all that we do.

Here are some of our favorite date night spots in Pasadena.

Pop Champagne - Ordered the truffle fries, ahi tuna tartar with chips, a champagne tasting flight and the souffle of the week. Check their website before going, they have a different souffle every week.

That night the souffle was lemon with raspberry anglasie, SO good!

This place is cute, small and decorated with multiple chandeliers to give it a Parisian cafe feel.

Next on our favorites list - Fishwives

Fairly new to Pasadena, it's a casual seafood restaurant with a creative take on old classics.

We had deviled eggs with fried oysters on top (pretty good even if you don't like oysters), a giant crab cake with chunks of crab meat, and a couple of glasses of wine.

Picture of our wine is the first one that starts the blog post above.

Our next place - True Foods

True Foods caters to people looking for vegan, organic and vegetarian options. We have had mutlple items from the menu but these are our go-to. Turkery burger, so good and juicy, and Mediterranean chicken pita.

True Foods also has the best cocktails! I had the Skinny Citrus Margarita and he had a glass of white wine.

If all else fails, sushi!!! There's a Sugar Fish in Pasadena that is usually our go to if we can't find another place to go to. At Sugar Fish we keep it simple, we always get the Trust me Lite option. Comes with tuna sashimi, edamame and 1 piece of 4 different types of sushi. It's a pretty solid option for dinner.

Happy date night and bon appetit!
